Mr Simon Peh

Special Adviser

Hong Kong ICAC

After graduating from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1977, Mr Peh worked in the Immigration Department between 1978 and 2011 and left the Department as its Director. Under government sponsorship, he studied public policy and administration at the Graduate School of Public Policy at UC Berkeley in 1991-92. He also attended the Royal College of Defence in London in 2001 and was awarded a Master Degree in International Studies by the King’s College London. Between 1 July 2012 and 30 June 2022, he was appointed by the Central People’s Government, People’s Republic of China, as Commissioner of the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. On 1 September 2022, he was appointed by the Commissioner of ICAC as Special Adviser of ICAC and delegated official of ICAC in IAACA.

 

He has served a number of posts in the International Association of Anti-Corruption Authorities. He has been a member of the Executive Committee since 2012, and the Convenor of the Training Committee since 2017. He also chaired the Working Group on the Composition of the Executive Committee and Regional Coordination, which was formed under the Executive Committee in 2021.
